Grow in Your Faith To author a great life story, you need to pay attention to the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. At Ambrose, spiritual formation is a core value. Chapel: Every Tuesday and Thursday we take time to focus on God in community. Ambrose Students play an active role in each chapel, contributing through music, drama and other creative teams. Speakers from all walks of life share their spiritual journeys. You'll be inspired and challenged to grow. Visiting missionaries - from across the city or around the world - regularly share their own stories. Music teams - Music is a great way to worship our God! Our music for chapel is completely student planned and led. We strive to help students use their gifts and abilities, in the area of music, to lead others in worship during our chapels. Our students lead us in worship through music using a variety of styles and instruments. Creative Team - This team is new for us this year! We are striving to incorporate all the arts into worship. This team of students helps utilize the arts by brainstorming and helping to create many different ways of engaging with God in worship – art, dance, drama, video, audio, interactive and experiential worship stations, etc. Prayer: As an educational institution that is distinctly Christian, prayer is woven into our community life. As such, dedicated Prayer Rooms in our Academic Building and Residence are for you to take time in your day. Missions: At Ambrose, missions are woven into everything we do. You'll have opportunities to participate in short and longer term initiatives, both locally and globally. Our Global Ministry on Campus program provides first-hand insight as well as one-to-one mentoring to students interested in serving God globally. -Missions Emphasis Day - This day is during our Fall Semester. The purpose for this community day is to: help students develop a heart for what God is doing around the world; and to encourage students to consider going on a short term mission trip or even a longer term trip somewhere in our world. Community: Student-led small group study is another way to intentionally grow in your faith while at Ambrose. You'll celebrate your faith at Beggar's Feast, a monthly worship arts experience, and, you'll listen for the still, quiet voice of God during Spiritual Retreats. Every semester includes at least one day with no scheduled classes. On that day, we might volunteer to serve others - live out our faith in a practical way by temporarily becoming part of someone else's story. Or, we might take the time to pray and reflect on the Spirit's call for the next chapter of our own story. Legacy Youth Conference: Every year, over 500 youth gather in Calgary for this dynamic event. Ambrose students plan and run the conference, managing every detail from registration to worship to entertainment.
